A new chief executive officer has been named at Carlsbad Medical Center. Healthcare professional Nick Arledge assumed the role on April 26 and brings extensive expertise to the community. With 22 years of experience in healthcare, Arledge has most recently been Interim CEO of TMC Bonham Hospital in Bonham, Texas. Prior to that leadership role, he also served as the director of physician and ambulatory services for the same regional health system.
Arledge has also previously served as the executive director of clinical operations for the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin, chief operating officer at Seminole Memorial Hospital, and administrative director at The Austin Diagnostic Clinic, a large multi-specialty physician practice with 135 providers in 25 locations, as well as ambulatory surgery and outpatient diagnostic centers.
In addition to his management experience, Arledge also has experience on the clinical side of healthcare, trained by the U.S. Army as an EMT and radiologic technologist.
“I consider it a privilege and an honor to have the opportunity to serve the patients, community, and the employees of Carlsbad and the surrounding area,” said Arledge. “I hope to help our amazing team provide excellent care in coordination with our staff, leadership, volunteers, community partners, and providers.”
“I am thrilled to welcome Nick Arledge as Carlsbad Medical Center’s new CEO," says CMC Chief of Staff Amanda Ryan, D.O., who participated in the interview and selection process. "Bringing unique experience in previous clinical roles as well as healthcare management, I am confident that under Nick’s leadership, CMC’s employees and medical staff will continue to accomplish many great things together for the benefit of our patients and community.”
