Neurologist Returns to Carlsbad Practice

Carlsbad Medical Center and Pecos Valley Physician Group are pleased to announce the return of Leonel Perez-Limonte, M.D., to Pecos Valley Neurology. Board-certified in psychiatry and neurology, in addition to neuromuscular medicine, Dr. Perez-Limonte brings 30 years of experience to our community. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and completed his residency at the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. He also completed an internship at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, and fellowships in neurological rehabilitation and clinical neurophysiology at the University of Miami School of Medicine.
In addition to his extensive clinical training, he also earned a master's in healthcare leadership from Brown University and a master's in healthcare quality and patient safety from Northwestern University. Dr. Perez-Limonte is a visiting professor of neurology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX, and serves as the clinical assistant professor of neurology at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and serves as the section editor of Spine Line for the North American Spine Society.
Dr. Perez-Limonte is a member of the medical staff at Carlsbad Medical Center, serving as the medical director of the hospital’s inpatient rehabilitation unit.
Services available at Pecos Valley Neurology include but are not limited to: management of headaches and migraines; treatment of seizures; nerve and muscular pain management; treatment for memory problems, carpal tunnel syndrome, movement disorders, and other brain and nervous system disorders; stroke rehabilitation; nerve condition studies and sleep studies.
