CMC, Pecos Valley Physician Group Welcome Urologist

Carlsbad Medical Center and Pecos Valley Physician Group are pleased to welcome board certified urologist Richard Tushman, M.D. to Carlsbad. Dr. Tushman received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York City, New York. He completed a General Surgery Residency, followed by a Urology Residency, at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals in Richmond, Virginia. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the Medical Staff at Carlsbad Medical Center.
“With the recent retirement of another area urologist, the arrival of Dr. Tushman couldn’t have come at a better time,” said Cathy Hibbs, Carlsbad Medical Center CEO. “We are pleased that Dr. Tushman has joined us so that local patients now have another option and may no longer have to travel out of town for this specialty.”
Dr. Tushman sees a full range of adult male and female urology patients, with problems including kidney stones, prostate issues, blood in the urine, all types of urologic cancer, urinary infections, erectile dysfunction, and various other voiding issues.
